What is Settle Transaction Exchange (Settle Te)?

We allow you to make a transaction without exchanging your details so that you can focus on the things that matter. All you need to do is select what you want and Settle Te will felicitate the exchange for you. We simplify your life and keep your personal information personal whether you’re in store buying goods, at home paying bills, online shopping, with friends, in the office paying invoices, or trying to run a business*.

How Does Settle Te Work?

In general,

1. You select the items that you wish to purchase or pay.
2. Using your mobile device scan the code provided or by entering the code via the app or website.
3. Confirm the transaction.
4. Settle Te will facilitate the rest for you*.

A real life example is provided to members once they have joined. You can join by visiting the home page and selecting join or enter the following link in your browser (settletransactionexchange.com/join).

How do I join Settle Te?

Visit the home page and select join or enter the following link in your browser (settletransactionexchange.com/join). Once you have reached this page please enter the requested information appearing on the page (name, email address, and mobile number) then when complete press submit. If successful you will then receive an email containing a code and using your mobile text that code to the number given. If successful you have met all the requirements set in the Beta version, however, please note that the primary version has further testing. You can view our Frequently Asked Questions page by visiting our FAQ page (settletransactionexchange.com/faq) you can also contact us by visiting our contact page (settletransactionexchange.com/contact). The Beta nature of the business prevents us from having a direct line however in future there will be a call centre. We aim to respond as soon as possible, however, the content of the communication and the limitations of the Beta version may mean a delayed response or no response at all. If you would like to keep up to date with the latest news please visit our home page and view the banner we may also contact you or use traditional media.

Do you offer training?

The beta version which is currently in operation does not provide for training, however, in future changes will be made to assist members in using Settle Te. A real life example is provided to members once they have joined. You can join by visiting the home page and selecting join or enter the following link in your browser (settletransactionexchange.com/join).

Apps and Devices?

Currently we plan to be available on popular devices including Apple, Blackberry, Google, Microsoft, and Samsung products. At this stage any device that has internet connectivity and a mainstream browser should allow you to visit the website. The same applies to apps, in the short-term we would like to develop apps to function on these devices. When devices or apps become available instructions will be given to assist users in using those devices and apps.

What is a membership ID and how is it different from my SBT, business, product, or other codes?

Your membership ID identifies you as a member of Settle Te and is used to access your Settle Te account as a matter of security you do not share this ID. The SBT code, business code, product code, or other codes are codes that allow selling members to identify goods or services so that an exchange can take place. These codes should be disclosed only with serious professional discretion.

Where can I view and manage my account in Settle Te?

Account information can be viewed once you have logged in through the following site (settletransactionexchange.com/login) from there select “My account”.

Where and how can I use Settle Te to pay in a store or with apps?

In future you will be able to, using an app or device, make an exchange online and offline. Currently we plan to be available on popular devices including Apple, Blackberry, Google, Microsoft, and Samsung products. At this stage any device that has internet connectivity and a mainstream browser should allow you to visit the website. There is currently no app, however, we would like to in the short term develop an app.

I’m a merchant or other business?

The Beta version which is currently in operation has not reached that stage yet in officially welcoming merchants and other businesses. However, we encourage you to contact us by visiting the following page (settletransactionexchange.com/contact) or alternatively you can visit the home page and join (settletransactionexchange.com/join). In future, as part of the registration process you will be picked up as being a merchant and provided with the necessary information. We would then contact you over the phone or in person to assist you. We take this very seriously.

Are there any benefits to having an account with you?

Yes. Once in operation, we allow for any transaction to take place without exchanging your details and many means and options are available to you so that exchange can occur securely. We aim to provide privacy and convenience to our members so that you can focus on those things that matter.

How do I advertise my business, goods, or service on Settle Te?

The Beta version which is currently in operation has not reached that stage yet in the meantime please contact us by visiting the following page (settletransactionexchange.com/contact) and we can do the rest for you.

Why can’t I sign in with my email address?

Your email address is known to people who have received or sent emails to or from you and, therefore, is not a secure way to access our services. We use a member ID which is unique to you and we request strongly that you do not share this ID with anybody.

I am a financial institution?

We work to benefit our members including their financial institutions any legitimate institution who wishes to work with us is eligible. Please contact us through our contact page (settletransactionexchange.com/contact)

Deliveries

The beta version which is currently in operation does not provide for exchanges and, therefore, there are no deliveries, however, deliveries through a provider such as the local postal service in future will be possible.

Other languages

Currently we plan to be available in Australia and then Asia, Europe, and the America’s in the short term followed by the remainder of the world in the dominant language of each country as a default with several language alternatives as optional.

How can I find people I know on Settle Te?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does not provide for searching, however, in future you will be able to search members in certain circumstances.

Blocking?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does not provide for blocking, however, in future you will be able to block / unblock members and transactions. It is up to members to decide how they wish to resolve issues with other members and blocking is only one option. To block a member select the transaction associated with that member and select block. To unblock a member select the blocked transaction then select unblock. Members who are blocked are not notified, however, when they attempt a future exchange with that member it will be blocked and that member will either be notified or come to their own conclusion that they are blocked*.

What happens to a Settle Te account if the owner is deceased or incapacitated?

We will follow the legal wishes of the member or the requirements of the law.

Troubles?

The Beta nature of the business prevents us from having a direct line. Screen dumps can be made by pressing the “print screen” button on your keyboard, pasting the material into word processing software by pressing “Ctrl” and then “v”, and then printing the document as a PDF. If you have a security concern about your account for example lost or stolen equipment, codes, etc please text freeze to **** using your registered mobile number*.

Why is Settle Te telling me to upgrade my browser?

As time progresses newer browser versions are released and older versions become redundant not upgrading your browser may mean that you will not be able to access our website.

Will my account ever be deleted?

Yes. The Beta version MAY mean that your account will be deleted. Other reasons may include infrequent use, inability to confirm details, or fraud.

Where does Settle Te store everyone’s data?

The Beta version which is currently in operation has very little data being stored as most of it is grayed out and not requested from its members what little data is stored (your name and email address – both public information) is stored on a server in Sydney Australia.

I think my account was compromised. What do I do?

Text freeze to *** using your registered phone or visit our contact page (settletransactionexchange.com/contact)*.

How do I change my password?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does not provide for password changes you are required to contact system administration for a reset by visiting our contact page (settletransactionexchange.com/contact).

Why did my password expire?

The Beta version does not allow for password expiry, however, in future it may. There is also the possibility that your account maybe deleted due to the Beta nature of the website, infrequent use, inability to confirm details, or fraud.

Notifications?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does not provide for or request password changes, email changes, or various other changes and text messages are rare if non-existent. If you do receive a notification please contact us and provide a pdf copy of the material in the attachment if it is possible to do so.

Do you accept PayPal?

The beta version which is currently in operation does provide for billing information including address and bank details, however, it is locked (grayed out) preventing these details from being recorded. In future you will be able to visit the Settle Te website (settletransactionexchange.com) and make the change in your account including payments from Paypal.

How do I cancel my subscription and return to an unregistered account?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does not provide for this, however, in future changes can be made by members to allow for this.

How do I cancel automatic renewals for Settle Te subscription?

The Beta version which is currently in operation has not reached that stage yet. In future we will provide a flexible pricing structure to suit the needs of our members and the ability to make changes when our members need to.

Can I give Settle Te as a gift?

The Beta version which is currently in operation has not reached that stage yet in the meantime you can visit our contact page on (settletransactionexchange.com/contact) and make the request we will then contact you.

How do I change my subscription or other related services?

The Beta version which is currently in operation has not reached that stage yet in future we will provide a flexible pricing structure to suit the needs of our members and the ability to make changes when our members need to.

How do I update my Settle Te billing information?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does provide for billing information including address and bank details, however, it is locked (grayed out) preventing these details from being recorded. In future you will be able to visit the Settle Te website (settletransactionexchange.com) and make the change in your account.

Lost or Forgot?

If you are reading this because you have lost or forgotten important information like your password or member ID then you have learned the hard way not to lose or forget this information. The Beta version which is in current operation requires you text forgot to *** using your registered phone or visit our contact page (settletransactionexchange.com/contact) where your account will be deleted. If you have forgotten your registered phone number, registered email address, financial details, or various delivery addresses then please log in and view this information in your account page. The Beta version does not request financial information; therefore, this information is blank in the system. If you have forgotten your username please note that we do not use usernames we use member ID’s and we will not be able to assist you.

How can I get assistance if I need it?

What forms of payment do you accept?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does not allow for any payments to be made. In future we will allow for the following forms of payment: Prepaid, bank transfer, two debit cards, two credit cards, cash, and cheque.

How do I return an item that I bought using Settle Te?

You will need to contact the retailer directly and provide the details as per the invoice or receipt that they provided to you.

Does Settle Te show my recent transactions?

The Beta version which is currently in operation does not allow transactions to occur and, therefore, you will not have recent transactions. In future to view your recent transactions you will need to log in at the following website (settletransactionexchange.com/login) and then select prior exchanges from your account.

Debit and credit cards?

We work to benefit our members including their financial institutions any legitimate institution who wishes to work with us including debit and credit card providers are eligible. The Beta version which is currently in operation does provide for two debit cards and two credit cards, however, it is locked (greyed out) preventing these details from being recorded. In future updates to your debit or credit can be made by logging in and updating the details in your account under financial information these changes can include new cards, additions, replacements, deletions, and suspensions. We have yet to work with debit and credit card providers and the Beta version is locked and, therefore, we have yet to confirm how transactions will appear on your card statements we will resolve this in due course. We do not share your details including debit and credit numbers, however, the postal service would be privy to your name and address if your exchange requires delivery. Your financial institution would be aware of an exchange if you use their financial product (debit card, credit card, or bank account). Security, safety, privacy, and vulnerability?

Our first line of security is our members please do not share your confidential information with others in fact do not even share it with yourself. Any communication with Settle Te especially electronic should be deleted, torn, burned, or removed, passwords etc should be stored in a safe place, and electronic equipment locked with a secure password. We use several levels of electronic security as you would expect in online activity and also several levels of physical security to protect your information and transactions this includes not exchanging your name, card details, or address. We do not share your details including debit and credit numbers, however, the postal service would be privy to your name and address if your exchange requires delivery. Your financial institution would be aware of an exchange if you use their financial product (debit card, credit card, or bank account). Many of the security measures taken are apparent when you join and use our services. If you have a security concern about your account for example lost or stolen equipment, codes, etc please text freeze to **** using your registered mobile number. If you find a security vulnerability please provide the details in our contact page by visiting (settletransactionexchange.com/contact) and provide further PDF details in the attachment. We take security very seriously and welcome input from the community that benefits the security of our members*.

Countries and foreign currency?

Currently we plan to be available in Australia and then Asia, Europe, and the America’s in the short term followed by the remainder of the world. Available currencies will expand as Asia, Europe, America’s, and the world come online. The currency availability on debit / credit transactions will depend on your financial institution. We will also in future allow members to carry multiple currencies on the one account and also allow members multiple foreign accounts.

How much does Settle Te cost?

The beta version which is currently in operation has not reached that stage yet in future we will provide a flexible pricing structure to suit the needs of our members.
